Our mission is to advance the awareness, distribution, and consumption of Japanese Wagyu beef in the United States. Our Plan of Work focuses around three key themes – Connection, Consolidation, and Coordination.
Connection
JWMP builds and facilitates win-win relationships with meat importers, distributors, and their food service and retail customers. Additionally, JWMP collaborates with beef industry groups and U.S. and Japanese government policymakers to improve market conditions. All these connections, and the services we offer help create new market opportunities to increase sales, distribution and consumption of Japanese Wagyu.
Consolidation
Japanese Wagyu importers, marketing partners, and industry experts such as The House of Japanese Wagyu offer valuable educational resources to promote and communicate the unique qualities of Japanese Wagyu. JWMP serves as a centralized access point, providing quick connections to many resources, including industry-wide and local market trade events, culinary experts, videos, sales materials and much more.
Coordination
As a U.S.-based team of experts and consultants, JWMP plays a vital role in identifying and coordinating opportunities to expand the distribution, sales and consumption of Japanese Wagyu. Leveraging our partnership with Japanese government organizations, Colorado State University, and the USDA, we actively address importation challenges, including customs inspection discrepancies and tariff or quota issues.
